As the season begins to soften, join Millie & Hannah for an Autumn Rest Retreat of deep rest and gentle renewal. Rooted in the rhythms of the natural world, we'll explore the many forms of rest through community, hiking, wild swimming, sauna & cold plunge, gentle yoga, a deeply restorative Sound Bath, wholesome nourishing food, herbal teas, quiet moments in nature, and a closing circle.

As the wheel of the year turns and day and night come into perfect balance, join us for an Autumn Equinox & Harvest Full Moon Day Retreat, a nourishing immersion in rest, reflection, and renewal. Together we'll honour the changing season, celebrating the abundance of the harvest while gently preparing to slow down and embrace the quieter months ahead.

We begin the day in an opening circle, arriving with intention before stepping into nature for a mindful hike around Buckland Park Lake. Surrounded by the rich colours and stillness of early autumn, you'll be invited to experience the invigorating practice of wild swimming, a refreshing reminder of our connection to the natural world and its ever-changing rhythms.

From there, we move into the warmth of Savu Sauna, embracing the restorative contrast of sauna and cold plunge. This ancient practice encourages deep relaxation, supports the nervous system, and leaves you feeling grounded, clear, and restored.

Afterwards, we travel just 8 minutes to Rise Wellbeing Studio, where the pace softens even further. You'll be welcomed into a calm, cosy space designed to help you settle, exhale, and fully embrace the art of rest.

A wholesome, seasonal lunch will be served, followed by quiet time to pause, reflect, journal, or simply be—honouring the many forms of rest our bodies and minds crave as the seasons shift.

The afternoon unfolds with gentle yoga, layered seamlessly with an immersive sound bath, inviting deep restoration, integration, and a sense of inner balance beneath the energy of the Harvest Full Moon.

This carefully curated day celebrates the wisdom of autumn, balancing movement with stillness, connection with solitude, and activity with deep rest. As nature begins to let go, you'll be invited to do the same, leaving feeling grounded, nourished, and deeply connected to yourself and the rhythms of the natural world.

Hosted by Millie Ralph, founder of Rest Retreats, creating transformative reset experiences inspired by the rhythms of land, sea, and sky. A pioneering sound artist, the first to deliver a soundbath within the Houses of Parliament, she is also a qualified Sound and Yoga Therapist, Circle Facilitator, and certified Mental Health First Aider. Millie blends immersive sound and restorative practices to help individuals, leaders and teams to reconnect, remember and recalibrate.

Hosted by Hannah Daly, Hannah is passionate about helping people slow down, reconnect, and find moments of calm in their busy lives. Through yoga, nature, and wellbeing practices, she has discovered the power of rest and the positive impact it can have on both body and mind. She is the Founder of Rise Wellbeing, a luxurious studio nestled in the Surrey Hills, and of Savu Sauna at Buckland Park Lake. Whether teaching yoga, hosting retreats, or sharing the benefits of sauna and cold water, Hannah's aim is to create spaces where people feel grounded, restored, and deeply connected to themselves and the natural world.

Locations:

Buckland Park Lake (RH3)

– A stunning natural retreat with a traditional Finnish-style Savu Sauna, cold plunge area, and scenic woodland trails.

Rise Wellbeing Studio, (Walton-on-the-hill KT20)

- A high-end, luxury wellbeing studio offering cool, air-conditioned comfort, exceptional sensory design, and beautifully curated, nourishing food in a space created for deep restoration.

Important Notes:

Soundbaths are not advised during the two-week wait (TWW), post-IVF implantation, or the first trimester of pregnancy.

Saunas may not be suitable for those with certain health conditions, including heart disease, low/high blood pressure, or pregnancy—please consult a doctor if unsure.

The cold plunge is entirely optional—whether you dip your toes or fully immerse, you can take it at your own pace.

This retreat is designed to be a deeply restorative and transformative experience.

Is this suitable for beginners?
Yes. Everything is designed to be inclusive, gentle, and guided — whether you’re new to yoga, never tried a soundbath, or curious about sauna therapy.

Do I have to do the cold plunge?
Not at all. It’s totally optional and can be taken at your own pace — even just dipping your toes can be powerful.

What if I have a health condition?
If you’re unsure about using the sauna or sound bath (e.g. pregnancy, high/low blood pressure), check with your GP first and let us know. All elements are optional and can be adapted.

Will there be parking and changing facilities?
Yes, both venues have parking and space to change comfortably.
