As we rejoice the sun, join Millie & Hannah for a Summer Solstice retreat of rest and renewal. Community, Hiking, Wild Swimming, Sauna & Cold Plunge, Gentle Yoga layered with a restorative Soundbath, nourishing food, herbal teas and a closing circle of course with cake!

As the sun reaches its peak and the year turns toward its fullest expression of light, join us for a Summer Solstice Day Retreat—an expansive immersion in vitality, connection, and radiant renewal.

We begin the day in an opening circle, arriving together with intention before stepping straight into nature for a mindful hike around Buckland Park Lake. Here, you’ll be invited to fully embrace the season with a refreshing wild swim—an energising, liberating experience that awakens the senses and connects you deeply to the elements.

From there, we move into heat and contrast at Savu Sauna, with sauna and cold plunge to invigorate the body, boost circulation, and leave you feeling both grounded and alive.

Afterwards, we travel just 8 minutes to Rise Wellbeing Studio, where the pace softens. You’ll be welcomed into a luxurious, air-conditioned space—everything thoughtfully designed to help you cool down, reset, and turn inward (we will definitely need it!).

A nourishing, seasonal lunch will be served, followed by quiet time to rest, digest, and simply be.

The afternoon unfolds with gentle yoga, layered seamlessly with an immersive soundbath—guiding you into a state of deep rest, integration, and inner spaciousness.

This carefully curated day balances energy and ease, outward connection and inward reflection—honouring the fullness of summer while creating space to recalibrate.

Hosted by Millie Ralph, founder of Rest Retreats, creating transformative reset experiences inspired by the rhythms of land, sea, and sky. A pioneering sound artist, the first to deliver a soundbath within the Houses of Parliament, she is also a qualified Sound and Yoga Therapist, Circle Facilitator, and certified Mental Health First Aider. Millie blends immersive sound and restorative practices to help individuals, leaders and teams to reconnect, remember and recalibrate.

For years I exercised my body as a form of punishment because I wanted it to look different. When I found yoga, I slowly began to realise that moving your body can come from a place of kindness—that it could be enjoyable, and that it could help me heal my relationship with my body. And so my journey began. I found myself immersed in yoga, exploring different styles and meeting new teachers. In 2018, I left my job to go travelling, and it was then that I decided I wanted to share what I had found through yoga with others. So here I am, hoping to do just that. https://riseinsurrey.co.uk/

Locations:

Buckland Park Lake (RH3)

– A stunning natural retreat with a traditional Finnish-style Savu Sauna, cold plunge area, and scenic woodland trails.

Rise Wellbeing Studio, (Walton-on-the-hill KT20)

- A high-end, luxury wellbeing studio offering cool, air-conditioned comfort, exceptional sensory design, and beautifully curated, nourishing food in a space created for deep restoration.

Important Notes:

Soundbaths are not advised during the two-week wait (TWW), post-IVF implantation, or the first trimester of pregnancy.

Saunas may not be suitable for those with certain health conditions, including heart disease, low/high blood pressure, or pregnancy—please consult a doctor if unsure.

The cold plunge is entirely optional—whether you dip your toes or fully immerse, you can take it at your own pace.

This retreat is designed to be a deeply restorative and transformative experience.

Is this suitable for beginners?
Yes. Everything is designed to be inclusive, gentle, and guided — whether you’re new to yoga, never tried a soundbath, or curious about sauna therapy.

Do I have to do the cold plunge?
Not at all. It’s totally optional and can be taken at your own pace — even just dipping your toes can be powerful.

What if I have a health condition?
If you’re unsure about using the sauna or sound bath (e.g. pregnancy, high/low blood pressure), check with your GP first and let us know. All elements are optional and can be adapted.

Will there be parking and changing facilities?
Yes, both venues have parking and space to change comfortably.
